I purchased two trees this season. I did not like the first one and returned it for another one that was actually a little more expensive.

Turns out I should have kept the first one. The second tree, didn't even look like the photo. it looks fake and more like a tree I had for twenty one years. The needles were falling out like crazy and worst of all, the lights were defective.

I couldn't even believe it. They had to mail me another new section. Then other lights starting going out at random on the bottom as well. The tree was literally impossible to set up as far as fluffing it out and making it look full and real.

Tons of gaps. It look me several nights to get it to even look decent. On top of all of this, Balsam Hill has found a way to block all negative reviews and hide them on their Facebook page. They manage to have it stashed away in a handy little file of postings that cannot be viewed by the public on Facebook.

Also, try to leave a negative review about a tree on their website. It will take you a dozen times. They hope you give up and stop trying. To this day, my review is still not visible and I tried three times with two trees I had purchased.

You are better off buying from a major retailer and not on line. You get to see what you are buying. I bought my tree really close to Christmas especially with the exchange. Even with all the trouble with the lights they actually told me that it has to be returned and on the truck before Christmas Eve in order to return it.

What? How is that fair?

It was a tree with issues. It wasn't as if I just changed my mind and didn't want the tree.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $474.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.
